How Do I Change the Tune for the DiabloSport U7153?
The DiabloSport U7153 Sport Predator tuner works on the Ford Expedition 4.6-liter and 5.4-liter engines. It also works on the Ford F-150 with the 4.6-liter and 5.4-liter engines, and the Ford Excursion and Navigator with 5.4-liter engines. When DiabloSport is plugged into one of these vehicles, you can change the computer settings to improve performance. On occasion, DiabloSport will release an updated tune for the Sport predator that you can update on your unit if you have access to a computer.

Download the latest version of the DS Downloader software from the DiabloSport website (see "References") and install it by following the on-screen instructions.

Open the DS Installer by clicking on the "DS Installer" icon listed on your desktop or in your program files. This will launch the program.

Insert the CD that came with the USB to serial cable you purchased for DiabloSport and install the drivers so the computer will recognize the cable. If you do not have the CD supplied with the cable, download the appropriate driver from the DiabloSport website and install it.

Connect the USB to serial cable to the Predator, then to your computer. The serial end of the cable goes into the Predator and the USB end of the cable goes into computer. Plug the Predator into its power source using the supplied power cable.

Click "Set Up" and select your Predator from the available list if the software does not auto-detect the device. In most cases, the program will auto-detect.

Download the latest revision update from the DiabloSport website (see "References"). Save the file to your desktop so you can locate it easily.

Click on "Send CROM file to Predator" and select the file you just downloaded. Click "Open" to start the installation process.

Disconnect the programmer from its power source when prompted to power cycle the device, then plug it back in.

Click on "Yes" when you are asked to install the update. Do not disconnect the programmer from the computer or power source while the update is completing. When complete, the new revision number will display on the screen of the programmer. At this point. unplug the programmer from the computer and power source.
