How to have pets at a wedding
Your wedding should include all of your friends and family, right? Even friends with paws and whiskers can be included into your wedding day festivities. By taking the time to plan ahead when including a family pet into your wedding, you can ensure that the day will be fun for even the smallest of guests.

1
Make sure your venue allows animals before you book it for the wedding. Take your pet to the area beforehand and let it get accustomed to the surroundings, especially if there is sand or water in the area. If the hotel or hall does not allow pets, you can incorporate your pet into other activities, for example walking to the location of the ceremony or riding in the car with you.

2
Arrange a shady spot and a place for water at the ceremony. This is vital if you are having an outdoor summer ceremony. Get your pet indoors as soon as possible to avoid heat illnesses.

Train your pet in advance to pose for pictures. This will help avoid any issues with getting Fido or Fifi to sit at the precise time. Also, many dogs and cats are afraid of camera flashes. So, exposing your pet to cameras in advance will help it to be comfortable with the light.

4
Inform your guests about your animal friend before they arrive at the event. This is especially important if you have a less traditional pet, such as a bird or ferret. Mention the animal to guests either on the invitation or through a polite phone call. For those who may be nervous around animals, have the ushers seat them away from your pet.

5
Don't leave the attire to the last minute. If you are planning on dressing your pet up for the event, you will need to find several options and try them on your pet to make sure it is comfortable. You don't want the pet scratching or picking at the clothes during the ceremony and dressing your animal may take longer than you realize.
