Step 1
Select possible gifts from the following list: books on movie trivia; book collections on movie history; biographies of actors and actresses; movie magazines; videos of classic movies; T-shirts from blockbuster movies; movie posters; online sources of movie memorabilia.
-
Step 2
Pick a basket style. Your choices include those with one handle, with two side handles or without handles. Make certain the basket is large enough to hold rolled posters, if you are including any.
-
Step 3
Decide on the color of the basket by choosing one that complements the movie buff's home decor. If in doubt, choose a neutral color by selecting a natural wicker basket.
-
Step 4
Use shredded paper filling to make the gifts fit snugly in the basket.
-
Step 5
Buy a movie-theme greeting card.
-
Step 1
Wrap each present with a colorful gift wrap.
-
Step 2
Put a layer of shredded paper filling on the bottom of the basket.
-
Step 3
Place the wrapped gifts in the basket vertically or horizontally, as space allows, pushing the filling between gifts to ensure a very snug fit.
-
Step 4
Place the basket in the center of a large piece of clear or tinted cellophane gift wrap. You may need two pieces of the wrap to completely cover a large basket.
-
Step 5
Bring all sides of the wrap to a few inches above the top of the basket. Secure the wrap by tying it with a long, colorful ribbon.
-
Step 6
Tape your greeting card onto the wrap.

on 8/21/2006 I used a theater popcorn tub , added two 20 oz sodas, a few regular size candies, a gift certificate for a movie renal (or two), ice cream and pizza. Wrap the tub in cellophane wrap and tie with a nice bow. We were able to give these great gift 'baskets' for Christmas gifts to our siblings without breaking the bank this year. We made our baskets for $30/family, but obviously with gift cards the price range is limitless!

on 11/22/2005 Instead of using a basket that may never be used again, you could use the tub style microwave popcorn and tuck your goodies inside there. Of course, it wouldn't be large enough for a movie poster but it works great for some candy, gift card, and small bags of chips.

on 11/22/2005 I'm only 14 but I would think you could add a Blockbuster gift card. Add some popcorn to munch on while watching the movie, too. Add a couple of hot chocolate mixes to drink while watching the movie and voila, you're done!

on 11/22/2005 Last Christmas my brother and his wife needed a good chef's knife, which I bought. I also bought a copy of "Psycho" and wrapped the gifts separately. Each of them opened one gift at the same time. Funniest Christmas ever!
