How to Connect to a Bogen Quantum Intercom
Quantum is a system and an architecture for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communication within an organization. Quantum is manufactured and marketed by Bogen Communications International. A Quantum system allows for public address speakers, VoIP phones and communications command consoles -- interconnected by a hierarchical network of computers -- dedicated to managing communications traffic. To achieve intercom capabilities on a Quantum system, you need to add a new VoIP telephone. Bogen supports QSip1 telephones, that are actually manufactured as model SNOM 300 by VoIP Talk.

1
Plug the phone into the VoIP network and wait until it boots. The built-in LCD will display the phone's current IP-address. Make a note of this address.
-
2
Launch a web browser on the computer. Navigate to the phone's IP address, found in Step 1. For example, if the phone received address 111.222.3.44, enter "http://111.222.3.44" in the browser's URL field and press "Enter."

-
3
Enter your login credentials for the VoIP phone. The default values for the SNOM 300 are username "admin" and password "admin". The browser will display a "SNOM Configuration" webpage.
-
4
Click "Setup," then "Line 1." Enter the correct values for your system in the "Account," "Password," "Registrar," "Mailbox" and "Outbound proxy" fields. The system administrator for your Quantum system will provide you with those values. These are completely dependent on the site and on its configuration. Click "Save," and the VoIP phone is ready to use.
