Instructions

    • 1

Place a chisel inside the hole or crack of your plaster pool and tap it lightly with a hammer to remove any excess residue that is not secured to the pool's surface.

    • 2

Chisel out the hole or crack so that it leans inward. This helps the patching material to stay in place.

    • 3

Mix up your patching material. For plaster repairs, use 2 parts white sand to 1 part Portland cement.

    • 4

Add a small amount of acrylic bonding agent and water until your patching material becomes about the thickness of peanut butter.

    • 5

Fill a spray bottle with water and spray down the crack or whole in the plaster.

    • 6

Apply the patching material with a pool trowel. Use the trowel to make the surface smooth once the patch is filled.

    • 7

Fill the pool with enough water to cover the patch. If the patch is above the surface of the water, keep it moist with the spray bottle until it cures.
