How to Recover From a Bad 360 Degree Review
If you think you're doing a fine job when it comes to your performance at work, you are likely to be surprised by getting a negative 360-degree review. 360-degree reviewing allows many employees of a company to comment on how an employee behaves and performs. This usually includes management, co-workers, subordinates and sometimes even customers and clients. If your 360-degree review contained some negative information, don't take it personally. By thinking about the comments you received, it is possible to correct any problems you might have and become a better asset to your employer.

1
Realize that the negative comments you received are not meant to be taken personally and cause hurt feelings, although you probably feel very upset or defensive at the moment. The comments are meant to help you.
-
2
Think about the comments you received. If you received the same type of comment many times, such as "John is always late," or "Sarah has a bad attitude," it is more likely to be true. Take these comments seriously; these are the ones you want to focus on most.

3
Select something to fix. Go through all of your comments and feedback. Besides correcting the most persistent problem, if there is one, opt to fix as much as you want to or can. Some feedback may reflect on your personal values or reveal a flaw with your leadership. Use these comments as a learning opportunity.

4
Speak to your boss or other supervisor after reviewing your comments and creating a plan to change. Your boss is likely to be enthusiastic about helping you change for the better. Ask for support. If desired, also ask for continued feedback from co-workers. For example, if you have a problem being honest at work, your co-workers can help keep you accountable.
