How to Use Security Screens to Translate Ancient Text
If you want to translate ancient texts from the security of your own home computer, you can do so using some free ancient text translation tools available online. Many of these tools allow you to translate text to and from ancient languages directly from your Web browser. This can be useful for classes where you need to work with older languages such as Ancient Greek or Sanskrit.

Navigate to the website Translatum (see Resources). Input the word into the textbox that you want translated to or from Ancient Greek. Press "Enter" on your keyboard to view the translation on your secure home computer.

Open your browser to Google Translate (see Resources). Copy the ancient text you want from another source online and right-click on the Google Translate text box. Select "Paste." The site will automatically detect the language. Click "Translate" to translate the text to English.

Visit the site Word2Word (see Resources). Click on the language you want from the large database list, such as "Navajo" or "Zulu." Click on the type of translation you want, such as "Zulu to English." Enter your text in the box and press "Enter" on your keyboard to get a translation.

Tips & Warnings
If your computer is having trouble dealing with old fonts, you can install some ancient language font files to remedy the situation.
