The character Zoro from One Piece has a simple costume that could turn you into an master swordsman in a matter of minutes. Zoro is a pirate and former bounty hunter. The most distinguishable aspect of Zoro's costume is his magnificent three swords he carries over his right hip. The swords can be made from scratch and all his clothes and easily be found in your closet. For very cheap, the swords can be bought at a toy store and the clothes from most second-hand shops. While Zoro's shirt can sometimes change, it is most often white. The rest of costume always remains the same. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 3 swords
  • White shirt
  • Neon green scarf
  • Black bandanna
  • Black pants
  • Black boots
  • 3 gold color earrings

Instructions

      Find a pair of tight black pants and black boots. Tuck the pants inside the boots.

      Wear a white shirt, preferably short sleeves with two or three buttons on the top. Tie the bandanna on your left arm right under where the sleeve ends.

      Use aluminum foil to make three separate loop earrings. Paint the foil gold. Attach them to your left ear.

      Fold the green scarf in half length-wise. Wrap the scarf around your midriff to resemble a Haramaki, or belly protector, that Zoro wears.

      Cut out the shape of three long, straight swords in sheaves from cardboard. Paint the handle and sheaves different colors. These are your swords. Tie them to your right hip by thread or loop them through a belt hole.

      Trace a long and narrow sword shape on a piece of cardboard. Cut it out and paint it silver. This is your sword.

      Wear black gloves.

Tips & Warnings

  • Zoro's hair is green so you can dye or use hair-spray paint to color your hair green for the costume.

  • Zoro also has several scars which you can draw with a marker if you want.
