Instructions

    • 1

Rinse the bathroom tub of excess dye with warm water immediately after dyeing your hair.

    • 2

Pour 5 tbsp. dish-washing powder directly onto any dye stains. Allow the detergent to rest on the dye for at least two hours.

    • 3

Squeeze fresh lemons over the red-dye stains, applying a liberal amount of juice. The bleaching agent within the lemon juice will help remove the red dye from the bathtub surface.

    • 4

Allow the detergent and lemon juice to soak into the red dye for at least five hours. Rinse clean with warm water.

    • 5

Pour 1 tbsp. bleach onto any remaining stains. Put on latex gloves to protect your hands, then scrub the bleach into the stains with a clean sponge. Rinse clean with warm water.

Tips & Warnings

  • When rinsing the dye from your hair, also run water over the bathroom tub to keep the red dye from resting on the surface.

  • Do not mix bleach with any other chemical, as this may create toxic fumes.
