Things You'll Need

  • Toro Lawnmower
  • Ratchet and socket set
  • Philips head screw driver
  • Pliers
  • Empty jug
  • 2mm diameter copper line
  • Hydrogen gas cylinder

Instructions

    • 1

      Locate the carburetor on the Toro lawnmower. This should be under the air filter. Use a Philips screw driver to remove the air filter cover and the air filter. Unscrew and remove the air filter holder from the carburetor. Unscrew the nut holding the throttle linkage to the carburetor. Use pliers to squeeze the gas line hose and pull the gas hose out of the carburetor and place its mouth in a jug. Unscrew the bolts holding the carburetor to the engine block and remove the carburetor.

      Insert the 2mm diameter copper line into the intake manifold and make it face the intake valve. Ensure that it is as close as possible to the intake valve but not touching it.

      Connect the throttle linkage to the copper line inside the intake manifold. Connect the hydrogen gas cylinder to the fuel intake hose and set the pressure of the cylinder to between 10 -- 15 psi.
