In Tennessee, you have three options for researching divorce case history information. To research a Tennessee divorce case history, you will need some basic data about your case.

Gather basic information about your case. To research your divorce case history, you will need information such as case number, dates and names of the parties or attorneys.

Access the website of the circuit court where your case is located. Enter your ZIP code, county and case information. Click on your case and research your information. You may print a case history and some documents.

Call the court clerk’s office regarding hours of operation, fees and acceptable forms of payment. Many courts are open Monday through Friday, but days and times for record requests may be limited. Many courts charge fees for copies of case records, ranging from 10 to 50 cents per page.

Visit the circuit court in person. Give the court clerk your divorce case information and request the case history. Review the case history and file. If you would like copies of anything in the file, tell the clerk and pay any required fees.

Mail a written request to the circuit court clerk. Write a letter to the court clerk, requesting your divorce case history. In your letter, include all basic case information, including case number, parties and dates. Include a check or money order for any required fees and your mailing address for return of copies and information.
