How to Choose the Right Kind of Polo Shoe
Polo is a team sport consisting of four players on each team. These teams ride on horseback and try to score goals into the opposing team’s goal. Polo requires specialized gear including a stick, helmet and boots. To finding a good polo boot, you need to look for protection in fit, grips, and price. Doing so will help you get the best performance out of your shoe.

Look for protection. Polo boots provide protection from polo balls. Find a boot that is sturdy enough for proper protection. Also observe the outside of the boot and whether it will be able to take hits from other player's horses.
-
2
Observe grip capabilities. A good polo boot easily grips the sides of the horse. Look for a boot that provides comfort around the ankles so that grip will be easier.

Price the item. You will spend anywhere from $100 to $300 for a good polo shoe, as of June 2010. While the $300 dollar shoe may seem like the best option, it may not be. You may be able to spend less and still get a good quality shoe.
