1
Lay four ceramic tiles in a spot where you want the fire pit to go. The tiles should be laid in a flat square on the floor to serve as the base.
-
2
Lay six bricks in a circle on top of the four tiles, so you have a round open space in the center of the bricks. Lay six more bricks on top of the initial circle, so you now have a circular fire pit made from two layers of bricks.

3
Fill the center of the fire pit with dry firewood. Cover the wood with a rounded mesh lid, which can be purchased at most outdoor supply stores. This mesh lid will keep flying embers from creating a fire hazard.

Lay a metal grate on top of the firewood and bricks. This gate will allow the fire pit to be used as a grill for cooking items like hamburgers and hot dogs.
