How to Use GH Explorer for the Guitar on a PC
Guitar Hero Explorer is software that allows the user to import Guitar Hero songs onto a PC. This allows the Guitar Hero guitar to be used with the songs on the PC version of the game. Custom songs can be imported with this software, which is an unavailable option on PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game. The Guitar Hero Explorer software is free and can be downloaded online in minutes. Then you can add any song to the game.

Download Guitar Hero Explorer from the website (See Resources). Click the button with the "Download" label. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software on your PC.

Open the Guitar Hero Explorer software on your PC. Click the software's icon on your desktop or locate and click the file name of the software.

Click "File" and then "Archive" on the Guitar Hero Explorer screen. This opens a file box.

Add songs to the file box. Click "Add" on the file box screen. This brings up your song file menu. Select the songs that you wish to add to your playlist for Guitar Hero. You have to select the MP3 file along with any playing charts that you have connected to that song. The playing charts allow Guitar Hero to create a guide to show you how to play the song on the game. Right-click the MP3 and playing chart files. Click "Add" from the pop-up menu.
