How do I Install a Tow Bar on a Saturn Car?
Installing a tow bar on the front of your Saturn car will allow it to be towed by an RV or truck on a long road trip. This can be particularly handy for RV owners who wish to use their car once they arrive at their destination. Aftermarket tow bars are available for many makes and models, but almost any universal tow bar will work with a Saturn car, making it relatively easy to add a tow bar to your vehicle.

1
Measure the minimum and maximum width of the tow bar when fully closed or fully extended. Look on the front bumper or at the frame of the car for two locations for the mounting brackets. These locations will need to be extremely solid, able to support the weight of the vehicle, and still provide enough room for the tow bar to stick out from the front of the vehicle.

2
Remove the lock nuts from the two mounting brackets of the tow bar and remove the mounting brackets. Place the mounting brackets at the two spots on the bumper or frame where they will be mounted, and mark the center of each hole with a pencil. Make sure the two brackets are an equal distant from the center of the vehicle.

3
Drill holes for the bolts in the bumper or frame at the locations that you marked with a pencil. Place the mounting brackets in place and screw the bolts into place with a wrench until very tight.

4
Connect the tow bar to the mounting brackets and re-insert the lock nuts. You can now connect the tow bar to your RV or truck.
