How to Install a Bestop Skin Cover on a Jeep
Bestop is a company that specializes in aftermarket vinyl and fiberglass covers for vehicles, particularly Jeeps. The Bestop Supertop replacement skin is a soft, vinyl top with clear plastic windows that installs into the factory bolt holes to provide a cover from the elements. These tops are great in the summer time because they provide shade while still allowing the user to feel the breeze.

1
Place the top on the vehicle. The front of the top should line up with the front rain channel of the windshield frame. There is a plastic strip that should slide into the windshield retainer to hold the skin in place. The windshield retainer runs the full length of the windshield.
-
2
Locate the six snaps at the rear of the roof line on the inside of the top. There are six snaps that should line up from the rear bow support. This support provides a rail that holds up the rear of the soft top.

3
Insert the plastic strips at rear corners of top into belt rails at the rear of the Jeep. These strips are black and sewn to the top. There is a plastic strip for reinforcement sewn into the corner of the top, in addition to the plastic strip. These black strips will fit into the rails just like the plastic strips in step 1.

4
Raise the rear bow into position on the front bow. The front bow has a bracket built into the side that supports and fastens to the rear bow. There are four tabs in which the top can be fastened. As the top loosens or stretches in the sun, you will be able to move the rear bow upward to a higher tab.

5
Install the windows and doors in the same way you have installed the top if they are included with your top. The Bestop Supertop Skin does not include doors, but they can be ordered for an extra cost.
