How to Focus on Video Surveillance to Reduce Falls
Slip and fall accidents can be a heavy cost on your business, as individuals liable to injuries may have real claims to file lawsuits against you for not properly taking care of your property. Of course it is not always your fault when an individual slips and falls, so to prove your side you need to set up video surveillance around the building to capture all accidents.

1
Install video surveillance equipment around areas such as steps, ramps and walkways. Focus on areas with heavy foot traffic. Ideally you should monitor any location in which a person can walk in your establishment.
-
2
Record the video surveillance on a constant basis. If you have the equipment set up to monitor and not record, this will do yourself no good. Unless you have visual evidence to back up your claims, an individual may win lawsuits brought against you claiming your facility is not properly taken care of.

3
Save your recorded records for an extended period of time. With additional hard drives now costing less than in years past, you can back up more video footage. You may want to save the content for a week or even a month, depending on how much storage you have.
-
4
Monitor the video surveillance. If someone is watching the video feeds at all times he will know if an accident has happened. If nothing occurred during a specific time frame you can delete the video footage.
