      Purchase a tube of silicone caulk that best matches the color of your convertible top. Silicone caulk is available at your local hardware store. The most common colors available are white, black and tan.

      Fill a bucket with water. Add some mild car washing detergent to the water. Follow the manufacturer's directions. Soak a clean cloth in the soapy water and use it to clean the top of the convertible. Rinse the soapy water off the top and allow it to dry.
