How to Put a CD Player in a Fiero

You can navigate through songs on your CD player.

Knowing how to use the CD player in your Pontiac Fiero can make the difference between playing your personal music in your car and having to tune into faulty radio waves. While going through mountain sides, your radio can tune out, because the radio frequencies are not reaching your car's antenna and radio. The Fiero, since its introduction in 1984, has a fully functioning cassette player that can play your CD player, if you have the correct adapter.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn your car on. You cannot play your CD player without your car being turned on, because the CD player needs your car battery.

    • 2

Insert the cassette adapter into your Fiero's cassette player. The cord coming from the cassette adapter needs to come out of the player and not go into the player.

    • 3

Slide the back of your CD player off and insert fresh batteries. CD players usually take AA batteries. Open your CD player, place your CD into the player, and then close your player.

    • 4

Plug the cord from the cassette player into the headphone outlet on the CD player. Press the "Power" button to start the CD player, and then press the "Next" button to choose the song you want to listen to. The music will play through your CD player, into the cassette player and through your Fiero's speakers.
