Instructions

    • 1

Draw letters, circles or objects on white contact paper with a pen. Cut out the letters or objects with scissors.

    • 2

Peel off the contact paper backing and carefully press the letters or objects to the glass with your fingers, making sure all bubbles have been smoothed out. If this is a drinking or cocktail glass, press the contact paper to the outside of the glass only.

    • 3

Put on rubber gloves. Paint etching cream on the glass area that is not covered by the contact paper. Let the cream sit undisturbed for 10 minutes.

    • 4

Rinse the etching cream off the glass thoroughly under cold water while wearing the rubber gloves, holding the glass under the running water for at least two minutes. Blot the glass dry with a paper towel. Peel off the contact paper and re-rinse the glass to make sure all etching cream has been removed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Open a window for ventilation while using the etching cream.
