KitchenAid manufactures dozens of models of dishwashers. Many standard under-counter versions offer the option of replacing the front panel as a way to extend the useful life of the appliance. Instructions

      Remove the small access panel under the main panel, if there is one, by grasping it on both sides and gently pulling it toward you, away from the dishwasher. Set it aside in a safe location where it cannot be damaged. If you have a single-panel dishwasher, skip this step.

      Open the dishwasher door part of the way to locate the four trim-mounting screws. Remove the screws that hold the trim and panel in place on each side of the door, setting them aside in case they are needed for reassembly.

      Lift the thin trim piece off the door front, then slide the panel skin off the door.

    • 4

      Remove the screws, trim piece and panel covering the small access panel in the same manner, if applicable.
