Installing a car alarm into the Dodge Viper can reduce the risk of theft. Car alarm installation is a simple process but it varies slightly by alarm brand. Instructions

    • 1

      Open the hood of the Viper and disconnect the cable connected to the positive terminal of the battery. Connect the power wire of the alarm to the detached cable. Run the wire though the underside of the car, to the driver's seat.

      Mount the control module under the dash, on the passenger side. Drill holes, using the control module's back as a template. Push the knobs of the control module into the dash. Secure with screws.

      Mount the LED light in a visible area. Drill two small holes into the dash and plug the siren into the holes. Connect the LED light's start disable relay to the Viper's start disable relay. The relay is located behind the steering wheel.

      Install the alarm siren in the engine bay, in an open area. Run the wires of the siren to the control module. Plug the wires into the control module.

      Install the shock sensor by attaching it to the windshield. Shock sensor installation varies greatly by brand so check the instructions manual.

      Connect the wiring of the light, siren and shock sensor to the control module.

    • 7

      Open the hood of the Dodge Viper and reconnect the cable to the positive battery terminal.
