Instructions

    • 1

Disconnect the heat recovery ventilation system from the outlet; this will prevent possible electrocution.

    • 2

Remove the cover of the control box. The cover is usually held on by pressure with tabs on the side. Press the tabs to open the box.

    • 3

Strip about an inch of cable from each of the ends of the four cables inside the conductor cable with the wire cutter.

    • 4

Read the manual of the heat recovery ventilation system for exact wiring directions as they vary by manufacturer. Some systems will be labeled and will use a common wiring method. If this is the case, connect the red cable to the "R" label. Connect the black and blue cable to the "B" label. Connect the white cable to the "G" label. Secure the cables tightly in place with the screwdriver. Do not wire the system using this format unless you verified it in the manual first.

    • 5

Connect the other end of the conductor cables to the control. Place the end of the cable into the screw and tighten in place with the screwdriver. Read the manual for detailed instruction as they vary by vendor.

    • 6

Place the cover back over the heat recovery ventilator and plug-in the plug to the outlet. Place the control to the on position and see if the heat recovery ventilator turns on. If it does not turn on, unplug the ventilator from the outlet and inspect the wires to make sure none came loose.
