You usually pay for your FICO score, but there's a way to get it free.

The FICO score was created by the Fair Isaac Corporation. It is the score most lenders use when assessing your credit application. Your FICO score has a range from 300 to 850. Scores under 600 are below the U.S average while scores above 750 are above the U.S average. FICO scores are not usually free, but you can get a free FICO score.
