How to Remove Water Spots From Furniture
Most wood is very absorbent, which makes wood furniture susceptible to moisture damage and water stains unless it has been properly prepared with a water-repelling treatment. When moisture enters the wood, it can leave a mark that you should remove as soon as possible to avoid permanent damage to the wood. Plug an iron into an outlet near the stained furniture. Place the iron on a high setting until fully heated.

Place a clean, soft cloth that is free of lint over the water marks.

Set the hot iron on top of the cloth, count to three, and lift the iron off the cloth.

Lift the cloth off of the stain to prevent the cloth from sticking to the moisture marks on the furniture.

Repeat steps 2 through 4 until the marks are gone.

Tips & Warnings
If you do not have an iron, a hair dryer on a high setting can also work.
Test the iron on an inconspicuous area first to test the finish. If high heat damages the wood, try a lower setting.
