How to Download From the Internet
The Internet has revolutionized the way information is shared and exchanged. Whereas content such as business correspondence and new computer programs used to have to be sent via the post office to get from one place to another, content can now be downloaded online in a matter of seconds. You can download content from the Internet quickly and easily.

Visit the website that has the content you wish to download by typing its URL into the address line at the top of your web browser. If you are not sure which website you need, access a search engine such as Google or Yahoo! and type in what you are looking for to find a site that has it.

Locate the link on the site that has the content you want, whether it be a program, document, video or song.

Right-click on the link with your mouse. A menu will appear next to the link. Choose the option "Save link as" to open a window where you can select the location you want the file to download to on your computer so you can find it easily. This usually works for pictures online as well.

Click on "Save" and your computer will download the content from the link.

Tips & Warnings
Some content can be downloaded by simply clicking on the link with the left mouse button to trigger the download. The right button is still convenient for choosing the download destination.
Only download content from providers you trust. It is easy to accidentally download a virus to your computer that can damage your system. Run a virus scan on any downloaded content before opening it to ensure it does not contain malware.
