Place the bowl in the microwave and heat it until boiling; this will vary by microwave. Stop the microwave when the water boils but do not open the door -- allow the bowl to remain in the microwave for approximately three to five minutes so steam can accumulate inside the oven.
-
4
Open the microwave and carefully remove the bowl and set it aside. Remove the rotating tray and wash in your sink with a mild dish soap. Rinse and dry completely.
-
5
Wipe the inside of the microwave with a sponge to soak up the steam and stains. Loosen any stubborn stains by dipping your sponge in the remaining lemon water mixture then scrubbing away. Dry the inside of the microwave with a paper towel and replace the tray.
