Instructions

    • 1

Set up shelves for supplies such as fertilizers, potting soil, composts and pots.

    • 2

Fill sealable containers with loose supplies such as the fertilizers, and label them so you know what is in each. Place containers as well as the pots and other supplies on the shelves.

    • 3

Set up a potting work bench to use when working with individual plants or planting seed flats. This will keep you from having to bend over constantly.

    • 4

Attach peg board to a wall of the shed and above the work bench. Use a drill to attach the board to the wall with screws.

    • 5

Hang hooks and other hangers on the peg board for various gardening tools. Hang the longer tools such as shovels, rakes and hoses on the board attached to the wall, and hang the potting tools that would be of use when you are potting plants above the work bench. These would include hand tools such as pruning snips and hand trowels.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you would like a green house for your recently potted plants, pull off a metal roof panel near the top and screw down a fiberglass panel in place of it. This will allow heat and light into the space.
