How to Build a Simple Yagi CB Antenna
A Yagi antenna uses various elements in its construction in order to broadcast its signal. On high-end Yagi antennas, it can be very difficult and time-consuming to put a Yagi antenna together with all these elements. However, there is a way to make a smaller Yagi antenna with only a few elements, so it takes less time.

1
Take a 162cm 2X4, a 160cm 2X4 and a 146cm 2X4 and cut a groove down the length of one side of each piece of wood. This is where your electrical wiring will go.
-
2
Cut three pieces of electrical wire so that they match the lengths of the 2X4s. Place the lengths of wire in the grooves and glue them into place.
-
-
3
Lay a 143cm length of 2X2 wood on a sturdy work surface. This will act as the backbone or "boom" of the antenna.
-
4
Place the 162cm length of 2X4 over one end of the boom and drill a hole through the center of the 2X4 and into the end of the boom. Be careful not to drill through the side with the wiring.
-
5
Use a screw to secure the 2X4 to the end of the boom. This piece of the antenna is called the "reflector."
-
6
Place the 160cm piece of 2X4 over the middle of the boom and drill a hole through the middle of the 2X4 and into the boom.
-
7
Use a screw to secure the 2X4 to the center of the boom. This piece is called the "driven" part of the antenna.
-
8
Place the 146cm piece of 2X4 over the remaining end of the boom and drill a hole through the center of it and into the end of the boom. Use a screw to secure the two pieces.
-
9
Drill a hole in the center of the bottom of the boom and insert a rod to act as the stand for the antenna.
