How to Use "Easy IP" on ESI Phones
ESI is a producer of business communication products such as VoIP servers, phone systems and server software. ESI phones function much like a traditional digital phone, but they also offer a range of Internet-enhanced services such as video-enhanced calling and the ability to connect to data networks. As a result, almost every ESI phone works as both a normal phone and an IP telephone device. Easy IP is a software suite developed by Crypton Computers that allows users to customize, store and monitor IP addresses and telephone settings across an entire network. Easy IP can be used in concert with ESI phones to create a complete business communications solution.

Configure your desired settings in the Easy IP software. Each phone and voice mail box in your ESI phone system is attached to an IP and MAC address. These addresses identify each phone, and are used for Internet connectivity. IP addresses are unique, meaning that duplicate addresses will cause problems with functionality and Internet accessibility. Easy IP can be used to create a visual map of each node in your ESI phone system. It can also be used to reconfigure existing IP addresses, allowing you to change or modify the IP addresses of any device on the ESI server. Easy IP can also be used to migrate an out-of-date IPv4 phone system to the current IPv6 standard. This can increase the performance and compatibility of your phone system by streamlining many aspects of the network infrastructure.
