Follow the instructions to set up your Amazon Associates account and submit your application online. Amazon.com will review your application and examine your website or blog to ensure that it meets its standards.

Explore your new Amazon Associates account after you receive an email from Amazon approving your application. If you are turned down by Amazon.com, email or call to request an explanation.
Add Book Ads to Your Site

Log in to your Amazon Associates account. Select the "Links and Banners" tab on the first screen, and click "Product Links."

Search on the 'Products Links" screen for "Amazon" within "books." In the "for" field, choose a keyword for books related to your website's content. Click "Go!"

Review the results on the search-results screen for books relevant to your website content. Review several screens' worth of results to find the best books to display. Try several different keywords to display a variety of results.

Select the book you want to advertise by clicking the "Get Link" button near the book's title.

Explore previews of different types and sizes of book ads you may wish to display from the "Customize and Get HTML" screen.

Obtain the code for the book ad you want to display by choosing the "Highlight HTML" button at the botton of the Customize and Get HTML screen. Copy the selected text into your browser and paste into your web publishing program.
