1
Examine the condensation drain on the outer side of the AC unit near the bottom edge to see if moisture is being adequately removed from your home. The drain should be regularly dripping water. There is also an emergency overflow container on the top side of the air conditioning unit. Contact a service technician if the overflow is full.

2
Locate the grill compartment on the front side of the AC unit. This grill houses the unit's air filter. Open the grill compartment, and remove the filter from the unit. Wash the filter with warm water, and a few drops of dish soap. Allow the filter to dry for several minutes and place it back inside the AC unit. If the filter is dirty, it can cause your unit to stop working.

Remove any debris such as toys, furniture or any other obstructing objects blocking the air-flow grill on the front side of the unit. This may be a simple troubleshooting method, but it is often overlooked when you may be experiencing a lack of air flow from the unit.

Tips & Warnings
Do not power on and power off the unit at random intervals. Your home can accumulate more heat, which will require more energy for the AC unit to cool down your home. Set the air conditioner to "automatic" so it will turn on and off by itself.
Refer all major electrical repairs to a certified HVAC technician.
