How to Set Payouts on My Bally Slot Machine
While Bally slot machines come in various styles, operator controls are the same throughout. Changing the payouts --- the amount of coins given out when the player wins a spin --- is a matter of starting the machine in "System Initialization" mode.

1
Turn on the "System Initialization" switch of the Master Control Unit by setting the switch in the horizontal position. The Master Control Unit is located within the key-locked rear of the machine or as a separate control box connected by a cable, depending on the exact model of your machine.
-
2
Turn on the unit by pressing the "Power" button next to the Master Control Unit connection or in the key-locked rear panel.

-
3
Set the minimum payout (the lowest amount of money the machine is capable of dispensing in the event of a win) by entering a value using the 10-digit keypad on the Master Control Unit and pressing "Enter." Keep the default minimum value by pressing "Enter" without entering a value. Payouts are displayed by coin count, not dollar value.
-
4
Set the default payout (the amount dispensed in the event of a win before enough money has been entered to raise the total jackpot of the machine) by entering the desired value or pressing "Enter." The default amount must be at least one digit higher than minimum amount. Pre-set defaults vary according to the exact model of the machine.
-
5
Set the maximum payout (the highest value a jackpot can be allowed to reach) by entering a coin value with the keypad and pressing "Enter." Keep the default value by pressing "Enter" without entering a number. Maximum payout must be at least one digit higher than the default.
-
6
Press "Power" and turn the "System Initialization" switch to the vertical position, then turn the machine back on to begin play with your selected values active.
