Instructions

    • 1

Assemble the track channel using the kit bolts and nuts. Install two brackets at the top of the track, two at the bottom and four, two on each side of the splice, where the tracks are spliced together. Hand tighten only for now. Use the Allen wrench to loosen the set screws on the splice bars, slide them to half way and re-tighten the set screws.

    • 2

Position the upper track into the lower track and tighten the splice bar set screws to lock the tracks into a single unit. Lean the assembled track with its brackets against the wall horizontally, and put a ¾ inch block or book under it to raise it off the landing. At the bottom step, insert a track bolt into the track bracket slot. Screw in half way, then remove the book or block and finish tightening. Repeat for the remaining brackets.

    • 3

Mount the call control bracket onto the nut between the bottom of the track and bottom bracket. Run the wire along the top track channel; tuck the wire underneath the track for now. Remove the control unit from the box, loosen the splice bars, slide them to the middle and re-tighten them. Put the upper and lower track sections together and tighten the set screws to lock both sections. Install the track brackets to the top track section.

    • 4

Hand turn the motor belt once the track and control unit are installed, before plugging the unit in, to make sure the slack cable safety is reset. Pull the belt up so the pulley turns clockwise, slowly moving the unit upward. Attach the adhesive clip to the cable just above the plastic chain three or four inches, and pull the slack out of the power cable. Remove the paper from the adhesive and firmly press the clip into the wall side channel.

    • 5

Position the cable and chain into the track. Put one end of the traveling cable into the travel track and the other into the opposite side track channel. Plug in the power cable, and a green light on the unit should come on. Check the fuse if the light does not come on. Follow the seat mounting instructions found in the seat box to complete the installation.

Tips & Warnings

  • The seat must be attached for full track travel.

  • Keep all screws and washers from falling into the unit when removing it.
