How Can I Get My Transcripts From High School Now?

You will need your high school transcripts if you are applying to colleges. In some cases, even when you apply for a certificate degree or a job you may be asked to provide your high school transcripts. If you are still in school this may be very easy. If you have already graduated there are a few things you can do to get your transcripts.

1. Call your school. You can search online to see if your school has a website with their contact information, or you can look your school up in the school finder at: http://www.education.com/schoolfinder/

2. Ask to be connected to the registrar's office.

3. Give the registrar your information and the year you graduated. Ask if they can mail you your transcripts, or mail it to the school/ job you are applying to. You may be asked to send a check or pay online with a credit or debit card.

4. Alternatively, ask the registrar if they provide transcripts through their website and ask for guidelines. You can print these transcripts as copies, but for college applications you will still need the registrar to mail official, sealed copies either to you or to the schools you are applying to.
