How to Replace a Hoover Tumble Dryer Drive Belt
Tumble dryers by Hoover are manufactured with a variety of different features and in various styles. Every Hoover tumble dryer uses a motor and pulley system to rotate the dryer drum. The motor and pulley system uses a belt that wraps around the pulleys and is rotated by the motor. If the belt becomes cut, damaged or broken, the dryer will not function properly. Unplug the Hoover dryer power cord from the outlet. Slide the dryer away from the wall so the rear panel can be accessed.

Remove the four screws holding the rear access panel in place. The access panel is located in the center of the rear of the dryer.

Lift the panel away from the dryer and set aside.

Slide the old belt off of the pulleys. Position the new belt around the small pulley, then the large pulley. Adjust the belt if needed so it rests within the grooves on each pulley.

Replace the access panel and the four screws that hold it in position.
