Instructions

    • 1

Cut the pine boughs into pieces approximately 6 inches long using the pruning shears. Assemble about 40 to 50 pieces.

    • 2

Unwind the floral wire, and wrap it around the wire wreath form two to three times to secure it.

    • 3

Gather three pine bough pieces together, and place them onto the wreath form so they extend off the form facing to the left. Hold the base of the pine bough pieces onto the wire wreath form, and wrap the floral wire tightly around both the wreath form and the pieces to hold them in place.

    • 4

Gather another similar bunch of boughs together, and place them so they overlap the first bunch. Make the greenery of the second bunch hide the point where you wrapped the first bunch to the wire wreath form. Wrap the second bunch of boughs to the wreath form with the floral wire two or three times tightly.

    • 5

Continue adding small bunches of pine boughs to the wire wreath form, overlapping them and wrapping them around the form tightly. When you come back around to the starting point, tuck the ends of the last bunch of boughs under the first bunch you tied, and wrap the wire tightly around the last bunch of boughs.

    • 6

Extend a 3-inch long piece of wire from the wreath, and cut the wire off with the wire cutters. Make the wire into a loop at the back of the wreath by twisting the end of the wire around the wire wreath form, leaving a loop for hanging.

    • 7

Cut a 5-inch length of wire for each holly berry sprig. Find the center point on the wire, and wrap the center point of the wire around the stem of a holly berry sprig. Position the sprig where you want it on the wreath, and push the ends of the wire through the evergreen boughs to the backside of the wreath. Trim away excess wire with the wire cutters.

    • 8

Turn the wreath over, and twist the ends of the wire securely to hold the berry sprig in place Repeat the same process with each holly berry sprig to place them around the wreath.

    • 9

Cut another 5-inch length of wire, and insert the wire through the backside of the loopy bow. Extend the wire through the knot until equal portions of wire extend out from both sides. Position the bow where you want it on the wreath, and push the ends of the wire through the evergreen boughs to the backside of the wreath. Twist the ends of the wire together tightly to hold the bow in place. Trim away excess wire with the wire cutters.
