How to Create a Spider-Man Themed Invitation
One of the most time-consuming activities in planning a party is making the invitations. Kids often want to have themed birthday invitations with characters such as Spider-Man. Creating a Spider-Man--themed invitation is simple and straightforward.

Decide what type of Spider-Man image you want on your invitation. Download Spider-Man images from the Internet or draw your own picture of Spider-Man. You can also take a picture of your child in a Spider-Man costume. Whatever image you use, scan it or save it to your computer as a JPEG file.

Start Photoshop and create a new project. Open the Spider-Man image by clicking the "Open" tab and navigating to its file name. Double-click the file and it will open.

Click the "T" symbol on the left side of the screen, opening the text tool. Click anywhere on or beside the picture to add text. Write the title of the party in large font. Below the title, list details including the location, the date and time, and any other important information about the party in a downsized font.

Add a new layer to the invitation by clicking the "New" button in the layers section. Select the layer and use the Text tool to type the name of a child who is invited to the party.

Press "Control+E" to merge the multiple layers. Select "Save as" and name the file.

Open the history palette by clicking on "Window" and "Undo History." Click on the action that you took right before typing the first name to the invitation. It should be close to the bottom. The name will disappear. Replace the blank layer with a new name and save the file. Repeat this process until you have gone through all of the names of the children you are inviting to the party.

Open each invitation and set print settings by clicking "File" and "Print." Choose the size and layout of the invitations and select "OK." Your invitations will now print.
