How to Install a Bed Extender on an F-150

Although the bed of a Ford F-150 can hold large amounts of cargo, sometimes you need to fit something in that extends just past the closed tailgate. One way to solve this problem is to install a bed extender. When folded in, the extender turns into a small area to hold groceries, and when extended, it can hold a dirt bike or similarly large object in the bed.

Things You'll Need

Repeat steps 1-2 for the opposite site of the bed. Lift the bed extender up and drop it into the brackets on the bedsides until it clicks in place. Rotate the extender to its out and in positions with your hands to make sure it functions correctly.
