Instructions

    • 1

Remove the cardboard from the frame and lay it on a flat work surface. Place the cork tiles on the cardboard, arranging the cork so it fits seamlessly onto the cardboard. If necessary, cut the cork pieces so they fit perfectly over the surface of the cardboard.

    • 2

Glue the cork to the cardboard with the hot glue. Allow the glue to dry completely.

    • 3

Lay out the fabric on a flat surface with the back side facing up. Place the cork-covered cardboard cork-side-down on the fabric.

    • 4

Cut the fabric around the cardboard, leaving a 1-inch border.

    • 5

Wrap the edges of the fabric around the back of the cardboard and secure it in place with a stapler. Make sure the fabric has no wrinkles or puckers. Add a staple about every inch or two around the entire edge of the cardboard to hold the fabric securely.

    • 6

Place a piece of ribbon over the front of the fabric-covered cardboard, looping the ribbon diagonally around the cardboard at any angle that you like. Cut the ribbon off so that at least 1 inch of each end wraps around to the back of the cardboard. Staple the ribbon to the backside of the cardboard on both ends to hold it tight.

    • 7

Place the cardboard into the frame with the fabric facing out. Hang the bulletin board on the wall. Attach items to the bulletin board with tacks, tucking them inside the edges of the frame or tucking them behind the ribbon.
