1
Paint the ceiling in the galley bathroom with bathroom ceiling paint. When selecting the color, feel free to choose something other than white. Consider cream or tan.
-
2
Install a recessed medicine cabinet to increase storage space. Typically, a recessed medicine cabinet mounts between two studs in a wall. Place the medicine cabinet into position between two studs -- with a helper -- and trace the back of it with a pencil. Remove the medicine cabinet and cut the traced area out with a jigsaw. Insert the medicine cabinet in the wall, and mount it with the screws provided and your drill.

Paint the walls in the galley bathroom with interior bathroom paint. Select a light color for the walls to create the illusion of more space, which a galley bathroom typically lacks.

4
Replace the shower curtain with a high-end, expensive curtain that will instantly freshen up the look of your shower.
-
5
Replace the faucets with new brushed-nickel fixtures, following the manufacturer's directions. These will also freshen up the look of your bathroom.

6
Install floor-to-ceiling shelving on one wall. This will give you ample storage in your refurbished galley bathroom.
