Installation of Ikea Faucets

Instructions

    • 1

      Thread the two flexible water supply line hoses into the fittings on the underside of the faucet by hand. Use care not to cross-thread the fittings. Twist the long threaded fitting onto the mounting stud that protrudes from the underside of the faucet. Tighten all fittings with an adjustable wrench in a clockwise direction.

      Slide the mounting gasket over the sprayer tube, water supply lines and the long threaded fitting until it is fully seated on the base of the faucet. Guide the tube, lines and fitting into the faucet mounting hole in the sink or counter top. Lower the faucet until it is flush with the mounting surface.

      Slide the bottom gasket and plastic spacer to the under side of the sink or counter top until they are fully seated against the underside of the faucet. Slide the "C"-shaped mounting bracket to the underside of the faucet in the same fashion, ensuring that the mounting hole in the bracket slides over the long threaded fitting. Thread the hex fitting over the end of the long threaded fitting and tighten it with an adjustable wrench in a clockwise direction.

      Thread the fitting on the end of the sprayer hose into the hex fitting on the underside of the faucet and tighten it with an adjustable wrench. Place both halves of the metal weight over the sprayer hose and tighten the retaining screw with a Phillips screwdriver.

      Thread the flexible water supply hose from the left side of the underside of the faucet to the hot water supply fitting in the under-sink cabinet and tighten it with an adjustable wrench in a clockwise direction. Connect and tighten the cold water supply hose to its fitting in the same fashion.

      Turn the hot and cold water supply valves in the under-sink cabinet on. Test the operation of the faucet and sprayer. Check all connections for leaks and tighten any fittings as necessary.
