Measure the sides of the house to determine how many square feet there are. Multiply the height and width of each side and add up all the sides to get the total square footage for your house.
-
2
Install plastic sheathing onto the house to act as a moisture barrier. Staple the moisture barrier to the walls of the house and wrap it around the entire exterior of the house. Insert a staple every 12 inches into the sheathing to attach it to the house.
-
-
3
Add a second layer of moisture barrier over the first, overlapping by 3 inches so there is no gap in between. Continue until the entire outside of the house is covered with the moisture barrier. Check to make sure there are no gaps between the layers.
-
4
Line up the first piece of corrugated aluminum siding vertically at the bottom corner of the house at least 12 inches from the ground. Install a wood neoprene screw with a built-in washer at the top of the first panel in the flat area adjacent to the ribs and tighten it down. Drill a screw every 6 inches along the top, bottom and sides of the corrugated panels at the flat areas between the ribs.
-
5
Line up the second piece so it overlaps by one rib and install it in the same manner. Continue down the first side of the house until reaching the end. Cut the last piece to size with tin snips if necessary. Continue around the house until the bottom row is complete.
-
6
Start the second row by overlapping the first row by 3 inches. Install the row in the same manner. Continue around the house until all the siding has been installed.
