There is a limitless supply of free clip art on the Web. Choose your favorites to make a Web page, add to an e-mail, make your own greeting cards or anything else your imagination can think of.

Things You'll Need:

  • E-mail Accounts
  • Internet Explorer
  • Netscape Navigator
  • Netscape Navigator

  1. Step 1

    Visit a search engine such as Yahoo or Google.

  2. Step 2

    Type in the keywords "free clip art." Add specific keywords if you're looking for a specific type of clip art, such as tigers or landscapes.

  3. Step 3

    Press Enter on your keyboard or click the Search button to submit your query.

  4. Step 4

    Click on a site that best suits your interests or needs from the list of search results provided by the search engine.

  5. Step 5

    Follow the directions provided by the site to download the clip art you've selected.

  6. Step 6

    Click the Back button on your Web browser to return to the list of search results and choose another site to explore.

  • AAAClipArt.com provides a large selection of clip art as well as links to numerous other sites.
  • ClipArtConnection.com has numerous categories of clip art available for you to download.
  • You can find animated GIFs, bullets (for bulleted lists), icons, JPEGs, backgrounds and other graphics on these sites. You can also have a new animated GIF e-mailed to you every day.
  • If you don't see the clip art you're looking for, some of the sites will help you find it. Just e-mail the person who owns the page.
  • Before you download anything from a website, make sure the art is free and can be used anywhere. This will be explicitly stated on the site. Using art without permission exposes you to legal difficulties.
