How Can You Get a Study Guide of the Maryland SAT Test?

Knowing how to get a Maryland study guide for the SAT can make the difference between getting into the university of your dreams and not being able to attend college. SAT scores are mandatory in order to enroll into stateside college. The Maryland SAT and the SATs taken in other states have the same premise and therefore have the same study guides. You can find study guides in different places, depending on your financial status.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit your local book store and purchase an "SAT Study Guide." Prep guide providers, such as Kaplan, College Board and Barron have complied study guides that will help you score a high score. Visiting a book store can also enable you to look through the prep books and decide which book will be right for you. For example, the Kaplan book has a lot of informational reading about the background of the test, while the College Board prep book has plenty of helpful examples and practice tests.

Access College Board (see Resource 1), a website that is geared towards preparing you for the SAT, and search through the "SAT" section for practice study guides and exams. You can only access the study guides and exams once you have registered for the SAT exam. On this website, you can also purchase the College Board book that was mentioned in Step 1. (see Reference 1)

Search through your local library. Despite having old study guides and exams, the prep books in the library can harbor questions and concepts that will be in your next exam. There are only so many questions the College Board can put in the exam, so there are always questions that are reused. Reading through the old SAT books in the library can help you gain ground on the newer tests. (see Reference 2; pp. 3)

Check online for websites, such as Study Guide Zone and Pro Profs (see Resource 2-3) for free SAT Study Guides. These study guides, despite being free, are not as informative as the professional guides, but can be used as a prequel for the more professional study guides. The online study guides may also have other references that can gear you toward more study guides.
