IMI is a Magellan map file used by many Magellan GPS devices, such as Triton and eXplorist. The IMI file contains map data, which includes points of interest (POI), streets and topography. Additionally, you use IMI files to access other map data, including boating, hunting, driving, camping, fishing and hiking. Run ExpertGPS. When you download ExpertGPS, a desktop shortcut is on your desktop. Double-click that icon to run ExpertGPS. It is easier to run the program from your desktop.
