How to Access Barcode Plug-Ins
Microsoft Office programs do not come with the ability to read and create bar codes. Several third-party manufacturers have stepped in to fill the gap, creating bar code plug-ins that you can install. Even after you install the plug-in, it may not be obvious how to access it from Word or Excel. No additional menus show up and no new windows appear to assist you. Instead, to access the bar code plug-in you have to go to a special menu.
