How to Use Magentic Screensavers Without a GUI

Add screensavers to your computer.

Magentic, a free screensaver and wallpaper program, allows you to download unlimited screensavers from its website. You can use the software to manage your screen savers whether or not you have a GUI (graphical user interface). Computers without a GUI use textures more than images. These computers will be compatible with most Magentic screensavers, though some screensavers may look different than they do on computers that use a GUI.

Instructions

1. Visit the Magentic website (see Resources). Click on the button that reads "Get Magentic FREE" to download the program. Double-click on the Magentic icon to launch the installer. Follow the installation instructions to fully install the program.

2. Download a Magentic screensaver. Navigate to the Magentic gallery. Click on the desired collection and click on the icon of a screensaver to download it.

3. Double-click on the icon of the Magentic software. Click on the "Manage Screensavers" button.

4. Locate the screensaver you wish to use for your computer. Right-click on the icon of the screensaver and select "Make Screensaver."
