1
Turn the slip cover right side out so the seam allowances for the cover don't show on the outside.
-
2
Locate the back of the cover by finding the tag along the bottom edge. The tag indicates the middle of the back of the cover. Use this as a guide to put the cover on your couch in the right direction. Stretch a fitted slip cover over the couch. Place other slip covers on top of the couch and pull all the sides down until the bottom edges of the cover line up with the bottom edges of the couch or extend past the bottom edges of the couch.

3
Locate the seam of your slip cover where the back of the slip cover is sewn to the seat of the cover. Tuck this seam down behind the seat cushions of your couch. Tuck the seam down until you feel the part of the couch that is beneath the cushions. The deeper the tuck, the better the cover fits to your couch and the longer the tuck will last.
-
4
Tuck the seams that connect the arms of the cover to the seam of the cover down along the sides of the outside seat cushions. Again, tuck until you feel the couch beneath the cushions.
-
5
Tuck the seams along the sides of the back along the outside edge of the end back cushions if your couch as a place to tuck them. Some couches don't have a space to tuck these seams, in which case line up the seams with the corners of the couch's back.

Tips & Warnings
Cut one wooden dowel to the length and two more to the depth of your couch. Tuck the length dowel down behind the cushions of your couch, over the top of the slip cover, and the depth dowels down between the cushions and arms of the couch to keep the slip cover in place longer if you find it's constantly coming un-tucked.
