How to Clean a Corian Kitchen Sink

A Corian sink can add a touch of beauty to your kitchen, but it requires a bit more care than a simple ceramic or stainless steel sink. Diligent and regular cleaning is a must with Corian, but thankfully you don't need any expensive or extravagant chemicals or tools to get the job done. Some simple household materials and a little bit of "elbow grease" are all you need to clean a Corian kitchen sink easily and efficiently.

Things You'll Need

• Dishwashing soap
• Sponge with scouring pad
• Clean rag

Instructions

1. Clear the sink of all dishes and other material, and rinse it down with cold water. Make sure all large particles are flushed down the drain.

2. Squirt several lines of dishwashing detergent on the surface of the sink. Do not coat the sink in soap, but do use a liberal amount.

3. Scrub the sink with a damp sponge. The dishwashing liquid should lather a bit during the process. If there are tough stains around the sink, work at them with the scouring side of your sponge.

4. Rinse the sink with warm water and dry it with a clean rag.

Tips & Warnings

• Strong chemicals can permanently stain or damage your Corian sink. Only use regular dishwashing soap when cleaning.
